Scotland

We run a selection of courses throughout Scotland in Snow Centres, on Dryslopes and at Scottish Mountain resorts.

Please remember that when it comes to the Scottish Mountain resorts, conditions are unpredictable. If you live nearby and can go at short notice when things look good, the several Scottish ski areas are a tremendous asset.

Please see individual venues for more information on what's included in the price you pay.

NB: Normally we make the decision to confirm or cancel a course 6 weeks prior to the course start date however in order to confirm a course we need to ensure that at the very least the course break even. The number of bookings required to break even fluctuates depending on Trainer expenses, resource costs, room hire, etc.
Sometimes with our summer UK course calendar we leave the decision to confirm/cancel until nearer the course start date in order to  give the course the best chance of running. This is possible due to the fact that many of our Trainers are able to be more flexible with other commitments in the summer months. To that end we ask members not to commit to any final decisions regarding accommodation and travel until you have been advised by BASI that the course is confirmed.
BASI will communicate with all members 6 weeks prior to the course start date to advise whether the course is confirmed, cancelled or we intend to review this decision at a later date. Your patience and acceptance of this decision is much appreciated.

There will be a daily uplift charge at any dry slope we use, so do not purchase a lift pass until you have met with your Trainer on the first morning of your course. BASI will provide you with information about any alternative venue and meeting point by the Thursday before the course start date where possible, otherwise the trainer will provide you with this information when you meet at the Glenmore Visitor Centre.
In the event that extreme weather prevents access to the mountain for your Level 2 course, BASI reserves the right to move your course to another slope (which may include a dry slope for a limited number of days). In the event of lack of snow, the Level 2 course can not be run entirely on a dry slope and therefore the course may have to be cancelled.

Please remember that running courses in Scottish Mountain resorts is challenging as conditions are unpredictable. Please do not hesitate to contact the BASI office if you have any questions about attending a Scottish course.
