Our online Additional Needs in Snowsports course is designed to introduce you to the adaptations needed and knowledge required to safely teach learners with additional needs.
A discipline-neutral course, meaning you will learn alongside members from all disciplines. Our trainers will develop your understanding of commonly encountered additional needs, give you the skills required to evaluate the needs of your learner and show you how to adapt your delivery to the ever evolving needs of your learner.
Safety considerations will be discussed in depth, assistive devices explored, and open conversations regarding your own personal experiences will be encourage.
The course will run over two sessions with a break in between, which means it easily fits into evenings and gives you some time to reflect and complete the Home Study tasks between sessions.
It counts as 1 BASI CPD credit to refresh your qualification and can also be used to top-up shadowing hours (course attendance counts for 10 hours).
